Members of the Enhance Microalgae team presented at the Future algae and Fungi technology congress, in Japan on 13-14th May. In doing so, Dr Judith Rumin and Dr Laurent Picot of University of La Rochelle presented 30 minute talks relating to the Enhance Microalgae project, with Dr Rumin presenting “Microalgae in the European Atlantic area in 2019 : A bibliometric analysis of research topics and industrial opportunities”, detailing the the main objectives behind the project among other topics, while Dr Picot discussed the potential for microaglae pigment use in cancer prevention, treatment, and in the chemosensitization of anticancer drugs in his talk titled ““Microalgae pigments as promising anticancer drugs and chemosensitizers”.
