The EnhanceMicroAlgae team at FCUP/CIIMAR participated in the XVI International Symposium on Marine Natural Products | XI European Conference on Marine Natural Products held in Peniche, Portugal, from 1-5 September 2019. During the DRUG DISCOVERY AND DEVELOPMENT poster session, Diogo Cruz presented the implications of Nagoya Protocol in the EU Atlantic countries. The Nagoya Protocol determines the access to genetic resources and fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from their utilization which came into force in October 2014. Environmental surveillance of microalgae usage is part of Work Package 6, led by FCUP/CIIMAR.
