Swansea University offers cutting-edge laboratory facilities and expertise for the production, characterisation and downstream processing of algal biomass, partnered with unique mechanistic modelling know-how that enables rapid optimization and economic evaluation of algal biomass and bioproducts.
Swansea University (SU) will coordinate WP7, providing extensive photobioreactor facilities and allied analytic equipment and expertise. SU will also contribute to the delivery of a decision support tool, through developing systems dynamic models to support commercial objectives, and will contribute to most other work packages. They will perform experimental and commercial growth system design and operation, provide microalgal bioreactors for contrasting products, an analytical methods test platform, and perform systems dynamic modelling for DST construction and commercial optimisation. SU will host a stakeholder and public engagement workshop.
